Mitsubishi shows soccer fans a good time

Stadium screen consultant, DisplayLED Screens, has just completed installation of an addition to Arsenal Football Club's Emirates Stadium.

The company has installed two Mitsubishi Electric LED screens at the Gunners' new north London stadium to act as giant digital clocks showing game timings, animations and promotional messages.

Installed on the half-way line on both sides of the pitch, the new digital clocks consist of 800mm high x 3200mm long, 12mm pixel pitch Diamond Vision LED screen modules, delivering a total resolution of 64 x 256 pixels (6400 dots per square meter).

Mounted in specially designed weatherproof modules, the clocks use the same type of Diamond Vision LED modules as the two main Diamond Vision AVL-OD12 video screens sited at the north-west and south-east corners of the stadium, also supplied by DisplayLED.

These screens - 12m wide x 6m tall - are used to show a mix of team information, statistics, match analysis and announcements, originating from Arsenal's in-house production suite in native HD format.
